2017 Routes

Check out the preliminary routes below. Please note, routes are subject to change based on city permitting, construction and road conditions. Final routes will be posted on this page within one week from event day. We will also provide GPS files, cue cards, and route marking for the ride.

This is an urban ride, that means there are roads that may have heavy traffic and big intersections. Our number one concern is rider safety. Each course is mapped out with the safest possible route between each rest stop. All riders must follow standard traffic laws and regulations. All riders must wear a helmet. No helmet = no riding.

SAG Support McCarthy Auto Group

Due to the varying degrees of difficulty of the courses and in an effort to maintain a high safety standard for all, the Tour de BBQ ™ support (SAG) will end 5 hours after the ride starts. If you are on the course after 5 hours and on pace to not finish in 5 hours, you understand that you will no longer be provided support on the route and are riding at your own risk. Riders also understand the Pavilion closes promptly at 3:00 pm – please plan accordingly.

Please do not call SAG support if you are tired and just do not want to finish. SAG is for emergencies and for bike maintenance only.

Bike Maintenance

Local bike shops Bike Stop, Family Bicycles, Trek, Midwest Cyclery, and Revolve KC will be at selected Rest Stops to provide minor bike maintenance. Please come prepared and bring along tools, and extra tubes, and tube patch kits just to make sure you can help yourself in case of a flat on any ride.
